Destiny 2 Best Pulse Rifles
Guardians fighting with pulse rifles

I have scoured the web and many a gamers minds and tried out many of these guns myself to be able to bring to you the most powerful D2 Pulse rifles!

10. Inaugural Address

Inaugural Address Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Inaugural Address comes in slot 10 of our top 10 pulse rifles. It is a good gun and can be found by playing through the Leviathan Raid, and sometimes, very rarely, a clan engram. Leviathan Raid is full of puzzles and the need to work as a team. So find a fireteam of 6 and go get started!!

Kill Clip and Outlaw are a really good pair to play with as you get the optimal reload speed from Outlaw and you get optimal damage from Kill Clip. It is good against any enemy whether it’s in PvE or PvP, it’ll just blow through enemies as if they aren’t there.

Inaugural Address Perks:

  • Adaptive Frame
  • Polygonal Rifling or Fluted Barrel or Chambered Compensator
  • Outlaw or Ambitious Assassin
  • Kill Clip

9. Nightshade

Nightshade Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Nightshade comes in slot number 9 of our countdown and it definitely belongs in the top 10. You get Nightshade by doing bounties and playing strikes from Zavala and earning the faction reward engrams from him. So head on over and get into the matchmaking or have a fireteam of 3 and go play those strikes!

Nightshade is a fearsome pulse rifle with the Armor-Piercing Rounds and the Kill Clip. Being able to punch right through an enemies armor and then also getting the maximum damage from Kill Clip, you are well on your way to dropping your enemies behind you as you make for the number one spot.

Nightshade Perks:

  • Lightweight Frame
  • Red Dot Micro or Red Dot 2 MOA or Rifle Scope ST
  • Tactical Mag or Armor-Piercing Rounds
  • Kill Clip

8. Right Side Of Wrong

Right Side Of Wrong Inventory Picture of Destiny 2

Coming in slot 8 is the legendary pulse rifle, Right Side Of Wrong. Be careful not to be on the wrong side of this gun or you’ll be staring down a barrel at your own death. It is found by farming the Lost Sector on Nessus, “The Ancient Haunt”.

This is a 4 burst pulse rifle instead of a 3 burst pulse rifle. With all of the perks this gun is absolutely amazing in the way of damage and killing things off quickly. If you are wanting to kill enemies as fast as possible and move onto the next target, this is the gun for you.

Right Side Of Wrong Perks:

  • Aggressive Burst
  • Steady Rounds or Accurized Rounds
  • Headseeker or Zen Moment
  • Tracker Disabled or Kill Tracker or Crucible Tracker

7. Vigilance Wing

Vigilance Wing Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Vigilance Wing is an exotic pulse rifle that is a random drop from exotic engrams. The drop rate for exotic engrams is a little, tiny bit, higher than it was in Destiny 1, but it will still take a little bit to get them. And then you have to ask Lady Luck to be on your side to get this gun and not one you already have.

This gun is fantastic for PvP. Just imagine being the last one of your fire team standing and suddenly your gun is performing better than it ever has. Watching your fire team die around you, you are moving quicker and healing faster than before so you can go and enact vengeance on the other team. This is what happens thanks to the perks on this gun.

Vigilance Wing Perks:

  • Harsh Truths
  • Corkscrew Rifling
  • Alloy Magazine
  • Last Stand
  • Composite Stock

6. Lincoln Green

Lincoln Green Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Lincoln Green is a legendary pulse rifle with a bite. It is found by playing in the EDZ and getting random legendary engrams, and sometimes as a reward engram from Devrim Kay. Off we go to defeat the Fallen and Cabal!

I recommend going with the Steady Rounds and the Model 6 Loop perks on this gun. It gives you more stability, range, and handling speed. It does deal quite a bit of damage, so you’ll be able to pick off enemies with ease.

Lincoln Green Perks:

  • Rapid-Fire Frame
  • IS 5 Circle or Model 6 Loop or Mark 15 Lens
  • Steady Rounds or Alloy Magazine
  • Quickdraw

5. Graviton Lance

Graviton Lance Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

The Graviton Lance, an exotic pulse rifle, comes in slot 5 in our list. It is found in exotic engrams and extremely rare world drops. You can also get it from Asher when it’s your first time on IO during the main story campaign.

The range on this gun is amazing thanks to Hammer-Forged Rifling and Accurized Rounds. With Black Hole once you kill an enemy, they explode into many void projectiles which then seek out new targets to hit.. This is by far my personal favorite. It is a beast of a gun and in the Crucible you can have your opponent dead with 2-3 precision shots, and in PvE 1 headshot to red bar enemies and 2-3 for orange bar enemies.

Graviton Lance Perks:

  • Black Hole
  • Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Cosmology
  • Fitted Stock

4. Chattering Bone

Chattering Bone is another legendary pulse rifle. It is found by playing the Last Wish Raid and sometimes in clan engrams. Head on over to The Dreaming City, grab a fireteam of 6 and figure out the puzzles while killing enemies.

Chattering Bone is a beast of a gun. Your reload speed is increased, reloading after a kill is faster, and the last bit of your magazine does more damage. Combine those three and this gun is virtually impossible to avoid as long as your aim is right.

Chattering Bone Perks:

  • Lightweight Frame
  • Corkscrew Rifling
  • Light Mag
  • Kill Clip
  • High Impact Reserves
  • Tracker Disabled or Kill Tracker or Crucible Tracker

3. Bygones

Bygones Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Bygones is a legendary rifle. It is found by reaching Infamy Rank 12 with the Drifter, or by playing Gambit, a lot. So what are you still doing here? Go and grind some Gambit, which will you reach first, Infamy Rank 12, or getting it as a random drop by playing Gambit?

This gun is one to watch out for, especially if it’s aimed at you. I recommend having the perk Flared Magwell for the increased reload speed and stability. Full Auto Trigger System is great as you don’t have to constantly be hitting the trigger to shoot, you just hold, reload, and continue on with wiping out enemies.

Bygones Perks:

  • Adaptive Frame
  • Arrowhead Brake or Corkscrew Rifling
  • Extended Mag or Flared Magwell
  • Kill Clip
  • Full Auto Trigger System
  • Tracker Disabled or Kill Tracker or Crucible Tracker

2. Go Figure

Go Figure Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Go Figure comes into slot number 2 with a bang. It is found by opening legendary engrams and getting faction rank-up packages. Doing lots of bounties on the planets, and collecting materials, and doing public events, or killing high target values to get those engrams to find this gun.

This is another 4 burst pulse rifle thanks to Aggressive Burst. All the perks on this gun are terrifying to those at the end of your barrel and so whatever combination you feel is right for you, then go for it. Your enemies will shrink before you as you conquer them all. I personally like Accurized Rounds, and Kill Clip on mine.

Go Figure Perks:

  • Aggressive Burst
  • Appended Mag or Accurized Rounds
  • Kill Clip or Firmly Planted
  • Tracker Disabled or Kill Tracker or Crucible Tracker

1. Blast Furnace

Blast Furnace Inventory Picture from Destiny 2

Blast Furnace is our number 1 pulse rifle by popular demand. It is also a terrifying beast of a gun to have and a lot of fun to play with. You can get this gun by getting the pulse weapon frame from Ada and going through the quest for that and igniting a forge.

Put together Headseeker, Outlaw, and Aggressive Burst  and this gun is one of a kind. Having 4 burst shots, and every body shot increases precision damage, and then for every precision kill your reload speed is faster, no one stands a chance. The day you get this gun, is a happy day for you, and a sad day for your enemies.

Blast Furnace Perks:

  • Aggressive Burst
  • Meyrin RDL or Satou Focus Lens
  • Tactical Mag
  • Outlaw
  • Headseeker
  • Tracker Disabled or Kill Tracker or Crucible Tracker
